Road Trips

I HATE to fly! Whenever we head to Florida for our Disney vacation, we drive. I think that may need to change soon though, now that we have become Disney Vacation Club members and are planning on going to Disney 1-2 times a year! We have never had a bad experience driving, in fact, I have only ever had one bad experience driving while vacationing.

Back in 2001 my (then) husband and I went on a vacation with another couple. We went to San Diego but we also visited the La Jolla and Los Angeles areas as well. The other couple had an older model Ford Explorer and of course, right in the middle of the Los Angeles area the head gasket blew! Talk about scary! I mean, LA is scary enough on it's own!

We managed to find a reputable Los Angeles auto repair place and got the Explorer fixed without incident. We used repairpal.com to find the best place to take the vehicle. It's an awesome site - there are reviews of service stations available and that makes deciding where to go so much easier!

Thankfully the rest of the trip was pleasant!
